  • Date April 4, 2021

Pioneered by the National Autistic Society, World Autism Acceptance Week aims to draw attention to the 700,000 people living with autism in the UK both to educate those unaware of the condition, and to help make the world friendlier to those who are affected by it.

This year, Queensmill introduced Q-inclusive; celebrating their partnerships within the local community.

Their Q-inclusive certificates included:

Tesco, Acton Vale

Tesco, have always been welcoming and supporting our students to develop their independence when shopping.

Matthew Trytell

Matthre Trytell’s supportive tennis coaching of our students at the West Way.

Askew Cafe

For not only supporting our students in the community but allowing us to film staff to develop communication back in the classroom. Furthermore, little touches like food items on separate plates means a lot.

Chiswick House

Where students access work experience and develop numerous life skills, including: gardening, managing lunch breaks and navigating public transport, to name a few.
